1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup, drained - reserve syrup
3 T. brown sugar
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 c. cider vinegar
2 T. orange juice
2 c. cubed cooked ham
1 c. cocktail sized, cooked sausages
1 small green or red pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

Measure pineapple syrup; add water to equal 2/3 c. In small saucepan, combine juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, and o.j. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Add pineapple, ham and sausages. Heat thoroughly, and add green or red peppers. Place in a chafing dish or fondue pot. Serve with decorative toothpicks.
