1 stick butter
1 cup each:
Granny Smith Apple
Rutabaga
butternut squash
carrots
sweet potato
1 quart chicken stock
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup maple syrup
salt & Cayenne pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Peel, chop, core, seed and roughly chop the things that can be! Melt the butter, saute the chopped ingredients until the onions are translucent (in a large sauce pan). Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until all of the verge are cooked through and tender.
Puree the vegetables in a blender or food processor. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into the same pot you used to cook the vegetables. Add the cream, maple syrup, salt and pepper. Return the pot to the stove and bring just up to a simmer.
