2 c. flour,
1/2 tsp. salt,
4 tsp. baking powder,
2 tbl. sugar,
Sift together.

Directions:
Directions:
Cut into flour mixture 1/2 c. shortening, 3/4 c. milk. Mix, then knead till smooth. Roll out in rectangle shape. Grate apples(4-6) on large grater and spread butter on dough and sprinkle on sugar and cinnamon. Also sprinkle some sugar on apples. Put together on dough and roll up and slice as for cinnamon rolls and place on greased pan. Brown for 10 min., then put on caramel sauce and finish baking.

Caramel Sauce:
Take 1 c. white sugar and 1 c. brown sugar and add 3 c. hot water. Mix 2 tbl. cornstarch, 1/4 c. butter, 1/4 c. 1/4 c water, 1 tsp. vanilla and then add to above mixture. Then pour over browned rollups and finish baking.
