1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
2 links Italian sausage, mild to medium
1 large onion, chopped
1 large carton cottage cheese
1 lb. jack or mozzarella cheese, grated
2 6oz. can tomato paste
3 cans tomato sauce
3 tsp. oregano
1 Tbls. sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
Parmesan Cheese
Salt and Pepper, to taste

Brown hamburger and sausage. Add onion, garlic, tomato paste, tomato sauce, oregano, sugar and salt and let simmer 1/2 hour.

Prepare lasagna noodles and begin to layer in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Put 4 Tbls. of meat sauce or more if needed, then noodles. Repeat layers of meat sauce, cottage cheese, jack cheese, and Parmesan cheese until pan is full. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour @ 350

Note: If you buy sausage link take them out of their tubing.
