1 c. sugar
8 oz. sour cream
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. chopped. peeled apples
1 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together sugar, sour cream, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in 1/2 c. pecans and apples. Place in a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Press lightly into the batter. Bake at 350 for 60 minutes. (If necessary loosely cover with foil the last 10 minutes to prevent overbrowning.) Cool bread. Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 1 minute. Remove bread from pan and drizzle with brown sugar mixture.
