3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup light molasses
1 beaten egg
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
2 and 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Stir in sifted flour, salt and soda, cinnamon. Roll into walnut-sized balls and roll in sugar. Bake 7-8 minutes at 350.
