"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
3/4 lb walnuts 1 cup sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 cup water
Bring to boil sugar, salt, and water. Add nuts and keep boiling and turning over till syrup begins to thicken and nuts are well coated. Spoon onto cookie sheet, using a spoon with holes to drain, keeping cookie sheet clean from syrup. Roast in oven at 400 degrees 3-4 min or till lightly browned. Put on wax paper to cool.
This is a Foti Family secret. I serve these as snacks at all my parties.
