Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Grandma Bird wrote this recipe down as a note on June 7, 1992. With it came her unique sense of humor which we all know showed her special love for her family...here are her words in the note:

"To Whom it Concerns or Cares:
Because I have carried the recipe for "Special Strawberry Preserves" around in "my head" for lo these many years - I believe it is now time to disclose all this on paper. This was handed down to me verbally by my mother who learned how to make it from her mother (this was before the days of artificial jam and jelly helpers!)"

"It's nice out - so nice I think I'll leave it out." FCB
