4 firm pears (crown imperial, or another type)
2 packages of bacon strips
Potatoes (cook separately)

Directions:
Directions:
Grease the casserole dish. Place bacon strips into the dish and the prepared beans on top. Cut the pears into quarters and remove the cores (leave the skin on them). Place the pears among the beans. Add pepper, some salt (bacon already contains salt, so don’t use too much), Worcester sauce, perhaps some soy sauce and balsamic vinegar, 1 cup of broth or white wine on top and then cover with the remaining strips of bacon. Cover with aluminium foil, and bake in the oven at approximately 200 degrees Celsius for approximately 40 min, taking off the aluminium foil after just 20 min. Test the beans and pears to see if they’re ready.
Salt potatoes as a side dish.
