2 bags of navy beans
1 large onion sliced
1/2 lb. bacon cut into small pieces
1 c. molasses
1 tbsp. spoon dry mustard
1 c. brown sugar
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Soak beans overnight. Cook beans with some baking soda. After they start to boil cook for 20 min. In crockpot layer 1/3 bean, 1/3 bacon & 1/3 onion until you use all of it. The in a measuring cup put brown sugar, molasses, dry mustard, salt & pepper. add some hot water & mix altogether. Pour over beans & add enough water to cover beans. Cook on high. In morning mix & check taste, (may need more molasses & mustard). Turn to low & continue to cook until they are done.
