1c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 c. buttermilk
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 Tbsp. molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 9 ingredients in a large bowl, and make a well in center of mixture.

Combine egg and next 3 ingredients; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.

Spoon about 2 Tbsp. batter onto a hot, lightly greased griddle. Repeat with remaining batter.

Cook pancakes until tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked; turn and cook other side. Serve with orange marmalade or maple syrup.
