1 tbsps. olive oil
1 c. chopped onion
8 oz. ground beef
6 oz. Italian sausage
1/4 c. chopped fresh basil
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. oregano (dried)
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
15 lasagna noodles 1 - 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes w/puree
1/4 c. tomato paste 2 - 15 oz. container ricotta cheese
1 c. grated parmesan cheese
4 3/4 c. grated mozzarella cheese
2 large eggs

ŠPreheat oven to 350. Saute beef & sausage until cooked & add crushed tomatoes & tomato paste. Cook noodles in large pot about 7 min. Drain & cover w/cold water. Combine ricotta & 3/4 c. parmesan cheese in medium bow. Mix in eggs & salt & pepper. Put sauce in bottom of baking dish. Place noodles, 2 c. mozzarella, spread with spatula. Repeat layers, noodles, mozzarella & sauce. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 c. mozzarella & 1/4 c. paremesan cheese over lasagna. Cover with foil, bake 40 min.
