Many people enjoy sausage for breakfast when camping. However, it can be hard to cook and even harder to manage the grease generated when cooking it. This leads to lots of problems when cleaning up.

The good news is that as a cook, you can plan to avoid these problems by using packaged pre-cooked sausage. Plan on each patrol member who eats sausage to receive 3 pieces.

Important: A cook must realize that not all people can eat pork. When planning to serve sausage, be sure it meets with everyone's needs. If not, plan to serve a separately prepared alternative for those who cannot eat pork.

Pre-cooked Sausage - enough to provide each Patrol member 3 pieces.

Directions:
Directions:
A non-stick skillet is best, but if one is not available, use a regular skillet.

Light stove and place skillet on burner. Let the skillet heat for about a minute.

Open package and place sausage patties or links in skillet. Let cook about 1-2 minutes on medium heat per side at most.

Remember that this sausage is already cooked and only needs to be warmed to become brown.

Serve!

Clean up is now much easier... after letting the pan cool, wipe down with a paper towel first to remove any grease and then wash according to the three pot method.
