3 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 cup cornmeal
vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Place water and salt in pot. Stir in cornmeal with a wooden spoon. When smooth, cover and bring to a boil. Cook 20 minutes, stirring frequently.

Turn out onto a greased cookie sheet or into a roasting pan. Let set. Slice. Eat as is, or fry. Add cheese? This is peasant food, so do what you will with it.
