2 2/3 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup honey or dark brown sugar
1/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup almonds (coarsely chopped)
1/3 cup unprocessed bran or wheat germ
1/2 cup raisins, chopped dried apricots or dates

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325° F. Combine all ingredients, except fruit; mix well. Bake in lightly
greased 9x12-inch baking pan or jelly roll pan for 20 to 25 min., stirring occasionally.
Remove from oven and stir in dried fruit. Allow to cool in pan, stirring occasionally.
Store in cool dry place or in refrigerator in tightly closed jar.
Makes about 6 cups.

I always use dark brown sugar instead of honey. It doesn't get so clumpy. I also double the recipe. It keeps well. You can vary the ingredients to suit your taste. The recipe has been adapted from the Quaker Oats recipe.
