3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. shredded coconut
2 large egg whites
3/4 c. semisweet chocolate
1 t. vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. In large bowl combine sugar, coconut, egg whites, chocolate chunks, vanilla and salt.
Dampen hands with water and form 1 1/2 tbsp. mixture into a loose shape and place on baking sheet one inch apart.
Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Let cool slightly before moving to a wire rack.

You will never buy macaroons from the store again after you try these! Using a cookie scoop works well for forming them into balls, too.
