1 1/2 Cups cranberries
3 T butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 cup white sugar
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Sauce:
1/ 2 cup melted butter
1 C white sugar
1 C cream
1 T flour
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Cut cranberries in 1/2. Set aside. Cream together butter, vanilla,egg and sugar. Add milk, flour, baking powder and salt. Grease and flour a 9x13 cake pan. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes.
Sauce: In a small sauce pan on medium heat mix together butter, sugar, cream and flour. Heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Before serving, top each piece of cake with the sauce. Sauce can be made ahead and warmed in the microwave.

A co-worker of mine often brought this cake for birthday celebrations at work. All the workers enjoyed the homemade cake with the delicious sauce.
