2 sticks margarine (softened)
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups oat meal (either quick or old fashioned)
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt, mix well. Stir in oats and raisins, mix well.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on to an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 min. Cool for one min on the cookie sheet and then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
Can also be baked in a 9x13 metal pan as cookie bars.
