2 c. flour,
1/4 c. sugar,
1/2 tsp. salt,
4 tsp. baking powder,
1/2 tsp. cinnamon,
1 egg,
1 c. milk,
1/4 c. melted shortening.

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together all dry ingredients, blend in egg, milk and shortening. Stir in, just enough to mix, 1 c. sliced apples that have been sweetened with 1/4 c. sugar. Pour into greased muffin tins, filling each 2/3 full. Bake 20-25 min. at 375
