1 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. cocoa 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 Tbsp. melted shortening 1/2 c. nuts (opt.) 2/3 c. brown sugar 2 Tbsp. cocoa 1 c. hot water
MIx flour, powder, sugar, 2 Tbsp. cocoa, salt, milk, vanilla, shortening and nuts; pour in pie pan. Combine brown sugar and 2 Tbsp. cocoa and put on top of mixture in pie pan. Pour hot water over all ingredients in pie pan. Cook at 350º for 35 minutes. Serve with cool whip.
