Ingredients:
1 can biscuits
1/2-3/4 cup sugar
Shortening or oil
fruit such as apples, peaches, pineapple ect.
cornstarch

Directions:
Cook fruit until it is done and thick. If needed you can add extra sugar and thicken fruit with a bit of cornstarch and water. Roll out biscuit until flat on a floured surface about the size of a saucer. Put a tablespoon or two of fruit on one half of the biscuit fold over the other half, covering the fruit and crimping the edges with a fork. Fry in hot oil or shortening over medium heat until brown and dough is done.

These pies were a favorite dessert of ours. Mother used to have to hide the pies because we'd eat them as fast as she fried them. Again, hot fingers and tongues were worth the prize.
