Salad:
1/2 c. oil
1 head of lettuce
1/3 c. vinegar
1 c. grated Swiss cheese
1 tsp. mustard
1 c. cashews
1 tsp. onion flakes
Dressing:
1 tsp. poppy seeds
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Tear lettuce and put in large bowl. Sprinkle with cheese and cashews. Mix dressing and toss just before serving.

This is the ever-popular salad that I am told to bring to the Christmas pizza parties at Lynwood. No-I did not name it that, my friend once told me to bring "you know, that salad that everybody likes." The name stuck. I do not toss with the dressing, I leave it in a container on the side, but it is good both ways.
