Filling:
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. boiling water
1 c. raisins

Cookies:
2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Filling: Mix together sugar and flour. Add boiling water and raisins. Cook until thick. Cool.

Cookies: Cream together brown sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Add flour and baking soda. Make into a roll and allow to refrigerate over night. Cut into thin slices and put a spoonful of filling on a slice. top with another slice. Pinch sides together to form a good seal. Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes.
