1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. Crisco 1 c. sugar 3 eggs 3 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour and baking powder. Chill dough 3 hours. Make balls and flatten with a glass. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Can decorate with colored sugar or frosting.
