1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar (I use 3/4 c. so it doesn't get too sweet)
1 stick melted butter
2 large eggs (or 3 medium)
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1 - 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips (or more if you want)
chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine boiling water and oatmeal and let stand for 10 minutes Then add brown sugar, white sugar and melted butter. Stir until well blended. Then add eggs, flour, soda, cocoa and salt. Mix well. Add part of 1 c. chocolate chips to batter, saving some to sprinkle on top. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips and some chopped walnuts. Bake at 375º for 25-30 minutes. Let cool and then serve.
