1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups plain flour (sifted, measure and sift again)
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

Nut Filling:
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped English walnuts or pecans
1/4 cup melted butter

Preheat to 325. Grease and flour a 10 inch stem or bundt pan. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together. Add dry ingredients alternating with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla. Pour half of the batter in a prepared pan and half of nut mixture. Pour remaining batter, then top with nut mixture. Bake 40-50 minutes at 325. Serve warm.
