2 envelopes dry yeast
1/3 cup lukewarm water
1 cup boiling water
cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten lightly
1 cup cold water
6 8 cups sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1/3 cup lukewarm water. Into 1 cup boiling water, stir shortening, sugar, and salt. Combine eggs and 1 cup cold water and add to shortening mixture. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Beat vigorously. Stir in dissolved yeast and blend. Allow dough to rise until doubled. Work down. Knead well. Roll to inch thick and cut as biscuits. Allow rolls to rise at room temperature until double in bulk, about 2 hours. Brush pan and tops of rolls with melted butter. Bake at 400 until brown, about 10 12 minutes. Dough keeps well for several days when refrigerated.
