1 can cut green beans
1 can cut wax beans
1 can dark red kidney beans
2 cans garbanzo beans
1 can small red beans
1 green pepper
1 small onion
2 2/3 c. vinegar
1 1/3 c. oil
4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
3 c. sugar (or less if desired)(or use substitute)

Drain and rinse all beans then mix well in a large bowl. Make a dressing of the ingredients: vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, sugar. Slice green pepper and cut the onion in thin rings. Pour dressing over all ingredients. Add a little water if necessary to cover completely. Allow to marinate overnight. More beans may be added after using some for marinate will keep quite well, as will the remaining salad.
