3 c. peaches, peeled and sliced
6 tbsp. sugar + 3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt, divided
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. peach juice (if fresh, crush enough for 1/2 c. juice and 1/4 c. water)

Directions:
Slice peaches and drain, reserve juice. Place peaches in greased 8x8 baking dish. In mixing bowl, blend sugar, butter, milk, flour, powder and 1/8 tsp.salt. Pour the batter over peaches. In separate bowl combine 3/4 c. sugar, cornstarch, 1/8 tsp. salt, cinnamon & nutmeg. Sprinkle over batter. Heat juice and pour over top. Bake at 375º for 40 minutes.

Can use other fruits: pears, nectarines, blueberries.
If using blueberries omit cinnamon and nutmeg and use berry flavored juice for liquid.
