"When I'm at a Chinese restaurant having a hard time with chopsticks, I always hope that there's a Chinese kid at an American restaurant somewhere who's struggling mightily with a fork."--Rick Budinich
2 tbsp butter 2 eggs 1 cup whole milk 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup raisins 1 tsp. vanilla 1 and 1/2 cup day old bread
In a one quart casserole microwave safe bowl, melt the butter, add the eggs and beat well. Blend in milk, sugar, raisins, vanilla and pinch of salt. Stir in bread cubes. Let stand 5 minutes, stir gently. Microwave uncovered until set, about 6 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes. Serve warm.
Ross, Steve and Andrea really liked this when they were young especially when it was warm. This is a comfort food.
