1 cup shortening, part butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 scant Tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Shape into balls.
Press down with glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes or till light golden brown.
