1 three pound chicken, cut up
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup salt
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Place chicken in a large bowl. Add water to cover. Add vinegar and 1/4 cup salt. Let stand 30 minutes. Drain well. In a plastic bag, mix together flour, 1 teaspoon salt, garlic powder, pepper, and paprika. Shake 1 - 2 chicken pieces at a time in flour mixture to coat. Pour oil to a depth of 1 1/2 to 2 inches in a large frying pan or Dutch oven. Heat to 350º. Fry chicken 10 minutes on each side or until done. Drain on paper towels.
