Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Bernice Dilley has a very similar recipe in her 1982 Art Fair Supplement. She suggests using apples, peaches or pears for a change. She suggests: arrange the slices, cut side down, in the syrup in the pan. Surround with the remaining fruit, pushing it down into the syrup. bake in a 450 degree oven for 25 to 30 min. until richly browned.
