1/2 c. butter or Oleo
1 c. white sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. milk
1 egg
3 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda,
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c mixed diced fruit
1 tbsp. grated orange rind (or peel)
2-1/2 c. fresh Cranberries coarsely chopped

Directions:

Cream butter, sugars and vanilla together. Beat in milk and egg, mix and sift flour, bkg.powder, soda, and salt. Stir into creamed mixture and blend well. Stir in candied fruit and orange peel and cranberries. For each cookie mound 2 level tbsp. of dough on well greased cookie sheet. Space mound about 2 inches apart.Bake at 375º for 15 to 18 Minutes.
