1/2 cup butter
1 # confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup shortening
2 tbsp. milk or water
Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl of mixer, beat butter and shortening until light. Gradually beat in sugar, milk, and vanilla. Blend on medium speed until all ingredients have been thoroughly mixed together.

If you want it to be chocolate, add 3 oz. melted bittersweet chocolate. The recipe is good for frosting and filling cakes and for decorations.
