1/2 c. rolled oats, regular or quick
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. cinnamon
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
2 t. vanilla
1 t. lemon juice
2 eggs
3 c. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350.
Chop oats in blender; combine with flour, baking soda, salt, & cinnamon in mixing bowl. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice together with electric mixer. Add egg and beat until fluffy. Stir flour mixture into egg mixture and blend well. Add chocolate chips and nuts; mix well. Drop onto baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake 16-18 minutes.
