1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 can ( 16oz) whole tomatoes
1 can ( 6oz.) tomato paste
1 can ( 8oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. cottage cheese
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves
6 cooked lasagna noodles
1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Brown ground beef and sausage in skillet, drain. Add tomatoes, paste, sauce, salt, pepper and garlic. Cook until thickened. While sauce is cooking, mix cottage cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, parsley, oregano and basil. Layer 1/3 each of noodles, meat sauce, cheese mixture and mozzarella in a square 8x8 in. baking dish. Repeat twice, ending with mozzarella. Heat oven to 350, bake uncovered 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
