1 c. butter
1 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375. Cream sugars, oil and butter or margarine. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until nearly white. Add flour, baking soda and cream of tartar.
Roll into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar (can be colored sugars for holidays). Flatten with fork.
Bake for approximately 10 minutes.
