1 lb. okra, sliced or chopped fine
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
1 egg
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 corn meal
Oil or bacon grease

Directions:
Directions:
Combine okra, onion, salt, pepper, water and egg and mix well. Mix flour, baking powder and cornmeal and add to okra mixture. You can make patties or just drop by T. into oil. Brown well over medium heat.
