1 1/2 C brown sugar
1 C shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 C buttermilk
3/4 t soda
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
grated rind of one orange
3 1/2 C plain flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put all in mixing bowl and stir real good. If not stiff enough add some more flour. Drop off by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes - don't have to get real brown. Frost with icing made out of juice from orange and powdered sugar - to glaze consistency. Rub icing on cooled cookies with finger.
