1 lb small cooked shrimp (popcorn)
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups chicken stock
2 cups half & half
1/4 tsp white pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a large pan, and stir in the flour. Mix to form a roux.(do not over-cook. you want a blond roux, not a dark one.) Add the chicken stock and cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.
Stir in the cream, shrimp and white pepper, and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until heated through.
To serve, garnish with finely chopped parsley.
