3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. applesauce
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Crisco, brown sugar and egg, mix well. Stir in applesauce and dry ingredients. Fold in raisins and nuts. Drop by the Tbsp. onto greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle TOPPING (combine 1/4 c. white sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon) mixture on each. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.
