3/4 c. Crisco 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 c. applesauce 2 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1 c. raisins 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Combine Crisco, brown sugar and egg, mix well. Stir in applesauce and dry ingredients. Fold in raisins and nuts. Drop by the Tbsp. onto greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle TOPPING (combine 1/4 c. white sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon) mixture on each. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.
