6 tbsp. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 pint frozen or fresh fruit

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 º. Put 6 tbsp. margarine in 9x13 in. baking dish and place in the oven to melt. Mix together: sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, milk, vanilla. Pour this batter over the melted margarine. Add a pint of blackberries on top of the batter. (Do not stir). Sprinkle with 1/3 c. sugar. Bake for 30 min. or until golden on top. As it bakes the crust will rise to the top.

Peaches or other fruit may be used. Remember if using frozen thaw and drain well before adding to batter.
