1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
2 whole eggs
3 packages yeast
1 cup warm water
5 cups plain flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add boiling water and mix until shortening melts. Add salt and eggs one at a time, beating well. Add yeast which has been dissolved in warm water. Add flour one-half cup at a time. Place in a well greased mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use, up to several days. Take out the amount needed and punch down. Knead on floured board about ten times. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Brush tops with melted shortening. Fold in pocketbook fashion and and brush again tops again. Place on a greased pan. Cover. Let rise at room temperature for 1 hour. Bake at 450.
