Crust:
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. chopped pecans


2nd Layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 heaping c. powdered sugar
1 heaping c. Cool Whip (buy the 12 oz. size)


3rd Layer: Chocolate Filling
1 3/4 c. sugar
6 T. flour
6 T. cornstarch
dash of salt
1 T. Hershey's Cocoa
3 c. half & half (or milk)
4 egg yolks
2 t. vanilla
2 T. butter


Top Layer:
Remainder of Cool Whip
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Hershey Bar

Serves: 12
Preparation Time: 1 hour

Crust: Cream ingredients and press into ungreased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 15 -20 min. Let cool.
2nd Layer: Beat all ingredients and spread on top of cooled crust.
3rd Layer: Chocolate Filling: Stir egg yolks into half & half in a measuring cup and reserve for later. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt. Mix together with fingers. Add cocoa. Stir and gradually add reserved half & half mixture. Add vanilla. Blend with whisk. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thick. Add butter, stir in. Let cool. Spread over 2nd layer. Top: Using remaining Cool Whip, spread over top of chocolate layer, sprinkle with chopped pecans and Hershey bar shavings.
