1/2 c uncooked wild rice
1/2 c uncooked white rice
2 c chicken broth
1 clove garlic
1/2 c butter
2 tsp. seasoned salt
4 tsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 large onions, chopped
2 c sliced celery
1/2 lb. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1 c sliced water chestnuts
1/2 c slivered, toasted almonds
1 lb. cubed chicken--optional; use if serving as a main dish.

Saute onions and garlic in butter. Combine all other ingredients except the almonds. Bake 2 hours in a covered casserole at 350º. Check after 1 hour to see if it requires more chicken broth.

If serving as a main dish, you may wish to add 1 lb. of browned, cubed chicken, turkey or beef after you saute the onions and garlic. Almonds are sprinkled over the top to serve.
