Sauce:
3/4 cup butter
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
1/2 large green pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 Tablespoons plain flour
2 Tablespoons water
1 cup grated cheese
1 cup milk
1 cup chicken broth
2 Tablespoons soy sauce

Casserole:
3 cups diced chicken, more if desired
1 can Chinese noodles, (save some for topping)
1 can sliced water chestnuts

Directions:

Sauce:
Saute celery, onion, green pepper, and garlic salt. Combine flour, 2 Tablespoons water, cheese, milk, chicken broth, and soy sauce.

Casserole:
In a greased 9 x 13 buttered casserole dish, layer chicken, noodles, and water chestnuts. Pour sauce over this, and top with more noodles. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
