"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Put a 6-quart kettle about 2/3 full of water on to boil. Grate potatoes and drain off juice; to do this, use a strainer. Put in large bowl and add eggs and salt. Cut bread in cubes and add to potatoes. Add flour to make a very stiff dough. Make medium size dumplings. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls into boiling water. Stir lightly so dumplings won't stick on bottom. Boil at least 30 minutes. Bread may be omitted.
