5 lb. corned beef brisket
1 lg. rutabaga, cut-up
9 sm. potatoes peeled & halved
6 whole sm. onions, peeled
6 carrots, peeled & halved
1 lg. head of cabbage, wedged

Directions:
Directions:
Put corned beef in a large pot with sufficient water to cover meat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours. Add water as needed to maintain level. When meat is tender, remove and keep warm. Put potatoes, carrots, rutabaga and onions into the pot and cook for 15 minutes. To serve, slice meat and arrange in overlapping slices on heated platter. Surround with vegetables. Horseradish and mustard are the usual accompaniments.
