1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 stick of butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. white flour
1 c. molasses or Karo syrup
1 c. wheat flour
3 tsp. anise seeds
1 c. rye flour
2 c. sour milk (2 tsp. vinegar in milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Mix rest of ingredients.
Bake approx. 1 hour @ 350º. Insert toothpick to check. Do not overbake! (Dark pans -50 mins.@ 325º)
